Tax Credit Information

In the "H.T. 1, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009" it states that a homeowner that purchases qualifying energy efficient equipment in 2009 and 2010 can claim up to 30% of the total cost of installation. However, there is a limit of $1500.00 to be claimed. For claim forms and information how to claim the installation, it is up to the homeowner to obtain proper forms from the IRS. The installer should provide manufacturer's certification statements stating the equipment installed qualifies for the tax credit.
